Planning Our Layout 6-3-15

Yesterday we all met to go over some things. We went over our beer names and rated them all in terms of how much we all like them. We feel like we have come up with some good ones but we are still searching for some good ones while we still can. We will send out our top choices to our friends and family to get their feedback as well. Once we have set our names in stone we intend to trademark them.

We also went over the first logo submissions and provided our input that we will relay to the graphic designer. We are also sending the logo out to family and friends to get their feedback as well. Either way we feel that we are making progress.

We also spent a great deal of time planning the layout of the brewery to make sure that we were all on the same page. This includes the location of the fermentors, where the keg washer will be located, where the brite tanks will be, where the cold room will be, where the barrels will go,where the bottling line will eventually go, what the product flow will look like, where the forklift and scissor lifts will need paths for access, etc. All in all it was a very productive day, and long over due for all of us to be together at the same location. We are trying to schedule a meeting next week with our architect and today’s brainstorm puts us in a much better position for knowing what we want and need. In the meanwhile we have a lot of work to do for our architect including getting cut sheets for all the pieces of equipment we need. Tracking them down will be Craig’s and my jobs.
